Inspired by the dramatic mountain scenery of the Alps between Bavaria and Italy, the new Ridgeline finishes, Light and Medium, draw on the tonal contrasts of shades found in this region. From snow-capped peaks to exposed rock and dense forests, the palette captures the natural transitions of the landscape. The surface texture itself echoes the raw character of split wood and the time-worn qualities of aged Oak, a prized wood that has been preserved for many centuries in ancient wetlands.

Created by Torben Hansen in collaboration with architect Francisco Cortina of Cortina & Käll Studio, Ridgeline reflects this narrative not only in its colour, but also in its texture. Reminiscent of split wood, it is shaped by the enduring, time-worn character of aged oak. The surface features a three-dimensional linear pattern inspired by weathered wood, continuously revealing new facets depending on the light and subtly changing its appearance throughout the day.

The magnet-compatible system offers new possibilities for sustainability and usability. Ridgeline can be quickly and easily installed on interior surfaces, from kitchens and walls to doors and cabinets, and can be updated seasonally, repositioned, reconfigured or reused in a new environment altogether. This innovation supports circular design principles and long-term material adaptability.
