The event began with a walk through the Paterzell Yew Forest, one of Germany’s oldest natural woodlands. Guided by CEO and forester Bernhard Heinloth, the forest revealed its hidden secrets. Beneath the canopy, surrounded by centuries-old trees, it became tangible where our philosophy begins: in nature. Learn more here: Nature
The colour worlds we have developed over decades of research and development in our own laboratory, using natural pigments, aim to create harmonious atmospheres. With the help of the NCS system, colour codes can be created and perfectly matched to the entire interior concept.

After the forest experience, we led our guests to the heart of our work: our manufactory in Peiting. Here, they could witness how colour and wood come together through precise craftsmanship.
In a colour workshop, woods were tinted with natural pigments. Participants experienced firsthand how not only colours, but also oils, waxes, and resins refine surfaces, making them durable, regenerable, and resistant to stains.

The highlight of the event was the launch of the new Ivy Chair by Sebastian Herkner for Freifrau, featuring our signature surface colour finish, showcased on several pedestals. The collaborative furniture pieces with Janua were also presented—embedded in an inspiring exhibition architecture, curated with a fine sense for space and atmosphere.

Munich: Our Stage for Colours
The event concluded with a press preview of the Ivy Chair in our Munich showroom. Here, the result of the collaboration was presented for the first time in an urban context through a talk featuring all three brands and Sebastian Herkner, moderated by Jasmin Jouhar.

Connected by Colours was a beginning—of new furniture, new partnerships, and a new way of shaping spaces. When colour arises from substance, it tells stories. When three brands share one language, something new emerges.
We extend our thanks to all our guests, to Freifrau, to Janua – and to everyone who dares to rethink colour with us.
