Floor colouring

The colour spectrum of a rocky riverbed reveals that grey itself has many gradients. To achieve these slight graduations of tone in oak, we gently lighten the grain. Depending on the veneer pattern, the rivulets of white pigment contrast against the hue of the wood with varying intensity.

On a single oyster shell, greys and browns of sand, silt, and sediment play with delicate pastel shades in a small space. Within our colour family, we echo this contrasting interplay between the striking partially-applied white pigments and the original hue of the oak.

When a summer breeze gently sways through fields of dried flax grasses, splashes of gold and scorched brown dance in the sunlight. As with the light linen fabric made from these fibres, the subtle colours in this grouping are soft and low-contrast.

Our muted sand and earth tones capture the quiet comfort of the natural world. A finely graduated smoke colouring of the oak wood creates clear and original shades. The colour variance is influenced by the wood’s own chemistry.

Simply the sight of a freshly brewed coffee invigorates. Our richest, most roasted browns are gathered in this colour family. There is a caramelised warmth throughout, with few contrasts. A lighter pigmentation enhances the natural oak colour. For intensity, we activate the wood’s own ingredients.
