The event was all about the most creative, innovative and technical high-quality print products on Gmund natural paper. Out of more than 350 submissions from printing companies, designers, agencies and brand owners, five finalists in each of the categories mailing, business, packaging, private, corporate and art made it to the jury session, that evaluated the finalists according to strict criteria.

Florian Kohler, owner of Gmund Paper, together with Bayern 3 radio presenter Simone Faust, lead the audience through an entertaining award ceremony. The image book "The Path to Precious Space" won the Gmund Award in the category Corporate (company and product presentations, catalogs). The 100-page brochure for Schotten & Hansen convinced the jury with its extraordinary haptic and with its overall impression. The combination of UV offset printing and natural paper was particularly eye-catching. From the idea throughout the print to the finished product, the two submitters, Printing House Vogl and Studio Digital Storytelling / Antonia Uhlig, are worthy winners.

In the accompanying exhibition, 40 selected companies were present with a small stand in the middle of the paper factory. In addition, at the UNFOLDED DESIGN & PRINT FESTIVAL lectures about brand strategies, materiality and sustainability as well as a performance show about the latest developments in the sector were part of the program. On both days, more than 1000 guests, including creatives, print service providers, brand managers and speakers from the economy and marketing agency scene came together to talk to each other.
